The crust just came off (in 4 days)

I'm the grandmother who insisted my grandson wear these shoes for his first steps and I'm so disappointed! He has a wound about 1.5 inches long on the outside of both ankles. These shoes are flat with a small hump for the inner arch. So I bought a good pair of Skechers instead, and Neosporin speeds healing. Times have really changed. These aren't the best shoes for our new steppers.

Pros

They should work on any floor surface but they lack traction and my floors are laminate and it slips.

Cons

The bottom of the shoe is slippery when walking.
