For personal testing, I washed my car two days in a row in a typical driveway wash (not as meticulous as the details) using Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax car shampoo (simply because I love it very much got it cheap). The detergent and wax left a shine on the paint but nothing worked remotely right with the wax on the first try, but on the second it was a pretty impressive shine. After that I tried Speed 303 detailing on one side of my hood and Turtle Wax (TW) detailing on the other side, knowing that neither would work properly with wax (because they're definitely designed for that and are determined). At this very early stage, the overall results are very good for such little effort. 303 needs to be applied more aggressively (after spraying) than TW which was actually sprayed on and wiped off. I'll use 303 more sparingly next time to see if it's operator error rather than a product feature. On a human subjective level, after I finished this, my wife liked the TW shine more while I thought the 303 had an advantage, but both were very similar in the quality of their looks. Some time and later applications will tell the story. Luckily it rained (of course I just finished washing the car) so let's see what holds up better, if any. save function. Nevertheless, the TW is still about 1/3 cheaper. So the durability of the 303s is (so far) the only factor that might make that extra cost a worthwhile expense based on the looks results, as at the time of writing this article I don't know if the TW detailer includes UV protection Has. As a side note, 303 Spot Remover was a miracle cure on that woman's favorite blouse where Shout and other fabric cleaners/stain removers didn't work, and yes, when used properly. Everyone wants to spray and wipe everything, but even the best chemicals may need instruction on proper preparation and/or mechanical agitation to be effective. I will definitely give this product 5 stars. I'm sure it's a quality product but I'm not sure if the cost is justified compared to other products unless there is a good reason e.g. It's about finding the best, getting it conveniently and using it at the best possible price. But based on cost, not just the cheapest. Just so you know, I'm not affiliated with any automotive or chemical company, I'm just an enthusiast in the field, not a professional.
