I have mounted a fold down digital video camera over my drafting table to record video instructions. The problem was that I had to stop working to look at the camera's mini-monitor to make sure everything in the picture was correct. I had markings on the table but the area changed when I removed and replaced the camera. I naturally looked to a large electronics store for a solution that offered an expensive on-camera monitor with a stand that I could place on my drafting table in front of me so I could control the video right in front of me just by raising my head .
