TURNING A KEY MAKES THIS PEPPERMILK THE EASIEST WAY TO USE

As you can see from one of my photos, I also have a Kuhn coffee grinder. I had one for salt and one for pepper but sometimes my hands hurt and it's hard to use the Kuhn pepper grinder. Pepper is harder to grind than salt. So it was time for me to buy a new grinder and I saw one of my favorite chefs using a key grinder and I did some research to find out it was this PepperMate. I was happy to see that I could also order it in red to match my Kuhn grinder and Chefs salt shaker! Hooray! Don't they look great together? Yes, they do! This grinder is much easier to use. It was expensive so I was hesitant to pull the trigger but I'm glad I did. My only nagging complaints or suggestions for improvement would be that I don't really need a transparent bottom. It may hurt when I cook to take this piece off. And if you put it in place without this part, it wobbles a bit because the mechanism inside sticks out just below the floor. So you really need to have this part if you don't want it to wobble or possibly break the mechanism inside over time. I would also like the lid to hold a little better. It happens very easily, but I'm aware of it and try not to let it happen. A few weeks ago I watched my husband use my expensive PepperMate coffee grinder. I held my breath. He can be cruel in small things. of course, a few turns of the key. the lid pops off, the bottom falls off and the peppercorns fly into the air like fireworks. I can still find peppercorns. I gave him an old bait pepper grinder ;-)
