I agree with other reviews that installation is cumbersome. Instead of a simple latch, you have to attach the cover (not the lens) to the base with two very small nuts when installing the light under your cabinet, which is a very tedious and difficult process. very bad design. It's hard to believe that a competent engineer could design such a mess! Because it is an under cabinet light, the AC power almost always comes directly from the plaster or wood base of the cabinet to the back of the light. When the instrument is installed, it means that the left half of the instrument (12 inch) cannot be used for AC input. In my case, as in MOST cases, the AC power was fixed and could NOT be moved, and combined with my limitations of moving the light 10 inches to the left, I was unable to install it. See photos; A photo shows the tiny nuts (2 of them) you use to cap the wiring when installing the unit under a cabinet. The second shows the 12-inch rear of the device, which cannot be used to power it. Beware of this limitation and design/installation flaws and since the cost of the unit has increased by $10 since I bought it 65 days ago I will be looking at alternatives to this mount.
