Life saver (well… hand saver at the least)!

I'm recently in a wheelchair due to degenerative central nervous system damage. I'm also an avid (obsessive?) knitter, which helps me to deal with the constant pain from the nerve damage.Moving through life on my arms instead of my legs has caused some shifting of pain and stiffness from my legs and feet to my shoulders and wrists. When the pain became so great that I couldn't even pick up a hairbrush without stabbing pain, much less knit (cook, type, dress myself…) I looked for exercise balls such as I'd used years before to heal a carpal tunnel incident. What I found, instead, was exercise eggs. These eggs are the second Friendly Swede® product I've purchased. I got them, over other similar eggs, because I've been so pleased with my first purchase: the best, and yet also the least expensive, touch stylus I've ever owned.Once again, I'm completely pleased with both the quality and the pricing of this Friendly Swede® product. While less expensive than others it has been of excellent quality. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The eggs, themselves, are holding up well to daily use.I keep them in a zipper seal plastic bag--to keep them from picking up lint and debris--in a pouch on the back of my wheelchair. At the first hint of hand or arm strain it's very easy, and discrete, to pull out the appropriate resistance level ball and quietly work off the strain before it becomes problematic. They're completely quiet (my old hand exercisers were effective, but noisy and bulkier to carry around) and fit perfectly in my hand.I also play piano and classical guitar and have hands larger than many men's I know. I bought the regular size eggs (yellow, red and blue), which have been just fine for me. At the same time, the oblong shape of these eggs makes them very versatile as to sizing and my [ADHD] elementary-age grandson is also able to palm one for use in stress control. Again; quiet, discrete but effective.If/when the slightly tacky surface of the egg becomes soiled it rinses easily under warm water and air dries quickly.
