Review on 🚗 10 Inch Extruded Cartridge by MATRIKX by James Eledge

Terrible filters, only lasts a few weeks. I have been using this filter product for several years. Filters used to be made in the USA. Now they are made in India. Although I would have preferred a US made filter I am not giving it a star because of this, new filters just don't last very long. Filters made in the USA worked great, no chlorine taste, great tasting water and they lasted a long time (3 months or more). New filters made in India will produce a white, cloudy and almost oily residue that needs to be flushed out of the filter for at least 20 minutes after a new filter is installed. After that, the water remains pleasant to the taste for several weeks, but the flow rate quickly decreases to a trickle. I find myself changing filters every 2 weeks or so. We are just a family of four, we don't use that much filtered water. The design of the filters has fundamentally changed for the worse, changing them every two weeks is ridiculous. I'll look around for a new filter.
