Soft socks, crew or otherwise, come in a variety of flavors, from thin to extra thick, half to full. As far as I've been able to ascertain, any terms that fall between the obvious extremes of "thin" and "extra thick" are used inconsistently by manufacturers and are entirely subjective at best. These socks are soft - not too thin and not too thick! It should also be noted that these are crew socks, the leg of which ends below the shin by definition. I mentioned this based on a question from a buyer and observation from a reviewer.
