Review on Goodful Potato Masher: Sturdy and Heat Resistant Nylon Gadget, Safe for Non-Stick Cookware by Jennifer Wilson

Looks solid until you mash it

The crusher looked finished and solid (more in this comment). The handle is made of hard plastic, while the stem/lever and pusher are made of "nylon" (plastic). I see it could be a non-stick puree machine. Overall, the look and feel was solid. Then came boiled potatoes - the crusher did its job, but insufficiently. The shafts/arms holding the crusher wobbled as pressure was applied to crush the potatoes. The crusher also curves against the boiled potatoes to the point where I was concerned that I might crack the crusher from too much pressure. The potatoes are mashed, but not as smooth as I wanted. The experience was such that I ended up ordering a different pusher with an all-metal lever and stainless steel pusher. Sometimes appearances can be deceiving when checking.

Pros
  • NON-STICK SURFACES SAFE: This potato masher's nylon head construction is safe for use on non-stick surfaces like non-stick pots and pans and is heat-resistant to 350 degrees. Fahrenheit.
Cons
  • Easily repairable
