I ordered two of these units, one for my setup and one to keep as a backup in the truck and I have mine decided to open both of them up and take at least an inch of each wire inside, replace the main power wire and ground wire with heavier gauge wire, solder them with acid free solder and use a little heat shrink tubing. The signal was IMMEDIATELY clearer and they survived numerous trips to the shooting range on my computer while playing as SF. After that he became 4/5 stars. All it needs is a gasket to seal the whole thing and an o-ring around the PTT button and you have 5/5 stars. Get creative folks. They're cheap enough to replace if you screw up.
