Review on Dorman 600-911 Shift Motor for Ford and Lincoln Models with Transfer Case by Brian Potter

Ordered this for a 2006 F150 4X4 and it installed easily but then got frustrating when the engine wouldn't shift at all. A few days later I tried again and the truck got stuck in 4X4 Low and wouldn't shift down so I had to limp home. As a result, the car was towed to the Ford service. The mechanic said I installed the engine correctly. He said that after the market change, these engines don't work well with Ford trucks. I ended up buying a Ford engine and it works great. Bring back that Revain engine. Buyers be careful, do not buy these bouncer shift motors, they are poor quality! You get what you pay for.
