Initially I was tempted to remove the star because this protein powder has a distinct "vegetarian" flavor when mixed with water and a texture that almost overwhelms the vanilla flavor. My wife tried it and thought it was great so I put my shaker back in the fridge to try again later. I'm glad I did because after having time to sit down and blend more fully, and without my previous expectations, I found it to taste quite creamy and healthy. The mixture has turned out very thick and has very little of the grit I normally associate with plant-based protein. It also has almost no sweetness, which can be a plus or a minus depending on your taste. It also goes well with all types of cocktails. Flavor aside, KompleX Nutrition's plant-based protein powder is one of the best I've ever used. It blends various plant proteins to create a "complete" protein source. I would like the company to list the branded ProVega blend and the ratio and amount of BCAAs, but this information is not on the packaging or on the website. I have contacted the company but have not yet received a reply. Also of interest is the inclusion of Spectra, a concentrated combination of 29 fruits and veggies that equates to a full serving of fruits and veggies. I haven't been able to try any of the products listed and am impressed with how it wormed its way in there. Also included are blends of probiotics and digestive enzymes for better absorption by the body. I didn't have any stomach issues or gas when taking this, so I think they're working.
