I ordered this dual USB WiFi adapter to get 5G capability as my old laptop doesn't. The internet on my laptop was slow and I keep getting "no internet" messages which is terribly annoying. I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port, downloaded the driver, then unplugged my old WiFi adapter and plugged in my home router within 5G range. He has both. Now my internet is working fine and much faster and I don't get those annoying "No Internet" messages anymore. The only problem I had was that my old laptop froze at first during use, but then I restarted and it's been working fine ever since.
