I was a little hesitant to buy a wireless adapter for my 11 year old desktop computer. I needed my computer to access the hotel's Wi-Fi network while on a trip out of town. This little device worked great and was so easy to use! I had no issues with the adapter turning off or losing the hotel's WiFi signal. Works flawlessly! It's truly plug and play: all you have to do is plug the adapter into your computer's USB port. Then install the software from the CD. Takes less than a minute or so. After

The dongle comes with an installation disk, but I don't have a floppy drive. It's ok, go to their website, install the drivers completely and follow the brief instructions. The device keeps disconnecting on its own and can't be identified, then reconnects to my PC, then disconnects again. This happens about every 5-10 seconds. Absolutely useless

The Cudy WU1300S is a decent adapter to easily add a WiFi connection to your computer. The chipset in the adapter requires a driver to be installed, either from the CD that came with it or downloaded from their website. Windows does not have built-in drivers for this device. Be sure to visit the website in the guide! There is another page that comes up when you search for a product, but that page has a different driver that doesn't seem to work either. I bought this to connect to wifi for one of my Linux computers running CentOS and couldn't get it to work . Linux saw the hardware but had no driver to make it work. I emailed Cudy customer service and they responded quickly by sending me the driver with no instructions. They also said it could be used with existing Ubuntu drivers, but didn't recommend CentOS or RHEL. I ordered this dual USB WiFi adapter to get 5G capability as my old laptop doesn't. The internet on my laptop was slow and I keep getting "no internet" messages which is terribly annoying. After installing from the minidisk, my Windows 10 screen flashed every few seconds. Restart didn't help.
