Don't use this for Linux - there are better products out there

I bought this to connect to wifi for one of my Linux computers running CentOS and couldn't get it to work . Linux saw the hardware but had no driver to make it work. I emailed Cudy customer service and they responded quickly by sending me the driver with no instructions. They also said it could be used with existing Ubuntu drivers, but didn't recommend CentOS or RHEL. I emailed asking for installation instructions which they provided quickly but unfortunately inefficiently. After receiving the instructions, I found that I needed specific libraries and a makefile to compile the drivers. In the meantime, while waiting for customer support from Cudy, I order a Panda N600 WiFi adapter and my CentOS machine recognizes it and connects to WiFi almost instantly. No drivers, no libraries, no compilation, nothing. Works right out of the box. Ordered more pandas for my Ubuntu and Fedora distros. No problem! Almost instant connection again. Forget Kadi, go with Panda. You will not regret it.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
