This is one of the best phone holders I have ever owned. (I had lots of magnets, vent clips, suction windows and dash). The vent clips I had had issues twisting and falling out, as did the magnetic ones. They work well, but on bumpy roads or cornering, the phone is too heavy and falls off the magnet or pulls out the clip. The suction cup window mounts I've had don't usually stick to the window very well and will melt in the sun (living in Arizona) as will dashboard mounts. I've had it for a few months now and it hasn't moved from where I put it and hasn't melted yet. On extremely bumpy and washboard roads (going pretty fast) it didn't drop my phone or even loosen the adjustment screws for the position I had it set to. I think it has to do with the metal plate you first attached to the dash with 3m tape. Overall this is a great mount and comes with a vent clip that looks like it will hold up better than any I've seen.
