In my opinion, these lights are good. There definitely not going to light up a walk way, there more for decor. They do feel a little flimsy. You can mount these 2 way's. For flat surface, use the brackets they give you. I installed mine on a 4x4 post. They have 2 pre drilled holes, they definitely don't fit snug on the 4x4 post, there's a little play. I had to use 2 more screws. If I were to know that they weren't going to be a tight fit, I wouldn't have gotten them. But because I'm trying to wrap up the project I just bought them. I have to order 2 more.If you live in area where it snows alot, in my opinion I wouldn't leave them out. Even though they are screwed to the post or flat surface, all you have to do is twist/ turn and done. I only had the lights for 2 days. So can't really tell you how long they will last.Simple on/off switch, easy to install and assemble, make sure you turn the switch on and let them sit in sun for a full day before you install them.In my picture there is another set of color landscaping lights, so don't let that extra light trick you. Overall I would recommend.
