Be careful with broccoli. This can cause serious gastrointestinal problems.

I have most of the groceries from Dr. Tried Harvey only to find my dog wasn't 100% into it. I really wanted Paradigm because of its low carb and low fat content for my dog who used to have pancreatitis. The Harvey website is full of positive information and positive feedback/stories from customers. But isn't it interesting that you never see negative reviews there? more problems in small. This would cause severe heartburn to the point of suffocation in my dog. I wondered if my dog was allergic to it. Then I started researching things and found my answer. A paradigm like Raw Vibrance has broccoli as its first main ingredient. Broccoli florets contain isothiocyanates, which can cause mild to possibly severe stomach irritation in some dogs. In large quantities, it can be toxic to dogs. It answered why my dog had such a reaction. It still doesn't work 100% right after stopping after 2 days. If you do some research, broccoli should only be given in minimal amounts. Some of the other products from Dr. Harvey contain tons of carrots, which are difficult to digest. Many dogs poop at once. Dog health is full of raw oats. Dogs should eat only cooked oats and an average of 1 tablespoon per day. The amount you need to feed a small dog will far exceed this. Think of all those fibers in small dogs' GI tracts. The new formulas for allergy sufferers are not safe for allergy sufferers. They contain foods that are common allergens for dogs. You might think dr. Harvey himself would know of these things. I'm not saying these products are bad for all dogs or even help in some situations. Some will tolerate it, and some will obviously not like any other food. I only wish they hadn't added tons of potentially toxic ingredients to it in bulk, especially for small dogs. even dr Dobias, with over 30 years of experience, says broccoli should only be given in small amounts. He also says that peppers should be avoided altogether, as they're part of the nightshade family, which causes inflammation. Another Paradigm ingredient that should be administered in small amounts is cinnamon. Another reviewer mentioned that broccoli is bad for the gastrointestinal tract. You're right. You're trying to improve your dog's health with these products, but you may actually be making things worse. A large dog has a much larger stomach, so it can hold a lot of food, while small dogs don't have as much. Be careful and pay close attention to how your dog handles it.
