I did a lot of research before purchasing. Our dog will probably need something more expensive during the winter months because he is being saved from starvation and is missing a lot of the hair that is still growing on his back. But an outfit that costs more than $80 is not in our budget right now, so I took this purchase very seriously. The material is excellent, as are some of our personal winter coats. It is very well made and fits in place. As we're still trying to gain weight, we'll probably get the next size up next winter, but at least for now, this one will fit him. We are so happy with it. We ordered a large and he weighs 100 pounds, a Great Dane Pit Bull mix. Now he doesn't want to go in anymore because if he's got it on his roasting heat he can stay out forever! I highly recommend this jacket. It was worth the time I spent reading reviews and researching. You may need to order in a different color.
