The tool itself is very well made and I'm sure it will last forever. My main complaint is that the blades dull right out of the box and need replacing after a few passes. I looked at various brands and settled on this one based on slightly higher ratings and slightly lower cost as all of these wooden handle tools seemed to be the same. I think so, except for the blades that came with it. Unfortunately, these blades are made in China and suffer from a distinct lack of quality control. If you buy this, buy some German made corneal blades and discard the ones that came with them. Or, even better, choose one of the German blade sets here, which costs a euro more - it's worth it.
