This rug is advertised in beige and cream. No, that is not so. The so-called "beige” is much closer to gray than beige. It's actually a 'taupe' that looks NOTHING like the picture at the top of the page or the pictures posted by other reviewers. And it gets even worse. As you can see in the photos, the "beige" is darker in some places and lighter in others. It's even quite patchy in places, which, as another reviewer mentioned, makes it look like it needs a good brushing. In general, the carpet looks cheap with poor paintwork. By the way, after looking at reviews of other Safavieh rugs, I found that the color problem is quite common. Several people have complained that the so-called beige or brown patches are actually gray. In fact, it seems that the beige color of Safa cattle is actually taupe in almost all cases. My guess is that someone in the company isn't very good at distinguishing colors - they need to change their dyes or descriptions. So unfortunately I have to send this hoped-for rug back, as I already own a large and very beautiful Safavieh rug. (Florida Shag Collection SG454) in my living room. Luckily it's all white, so there's no problem with color - the top and bottom pile form a pattern. (I would buy the same smaller rug I need for my guest bedroom, but it's thick and I was afraid it would get in the way when the door was closed. Well! The hunt continues.
