I am upgrading my HTIB 5.1 system. In 2009 I bought a Denon/Boston speaker system. It served me well for 5 years until the sub woofer failed. The small satellite speakers really lacked bass, making the sound less than ideal. Due to a limited budget I had Klipsch KSB 3.1 bookshelf speakers which I started using as fronts. This added some much-needed mid-range bass that small speakers lack. The only problem is that the Boston Acoustics speaker center didn't go well with the Klipsch fronts. So I started reading a lot of reviews on multiple sites. I kept coming back to the many positive reviews of the BIC America FH6-LCR and finally bought it. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and after tweaking my Denon AVR-488 I've been very happy with the balanced and mixed sound from the front. The dialogues are clear and clearly more present than before. I never made it out loud until last night when I saw the Banshee S3.1 premiere. Around the middle there is a club scene with a pounding bass. It really showed me what this speaker is capable of. He parried every shot with ease. Sure, it's not a great 12" sub, but it'll do for now. I still need that replacement sub, but it's not a priority for me before adding this excellent BIC America FH6-LCR to the mix I only look to Bic America for my future surround speaker and subwoofer options, I can get some Bic towers and move Klipsch around for surround work but that's another day and for review.
