Review on πŸ”¦ Eveready LED Floating Lantern Flashlight: Essential Battery-Powered Hurricane Supplies & Survival Kit Accessory. Perfect for Camping & Power Outages. Includes Batteries! by Jeff Leu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Shit light pattern, very energy efficient.

The light pattern is too narrow and looks strange due to the design of LED and reflector. The flashlight is extremely energy efficient, I used it for 12 consecutive hours on four Revain D-type alkaline batteries and the voltage difference before and after was less than half a tenth of a volt (when using new batteries). I'm not aware of the manufacturer's claim of 400 hours, but based on my calculations I have no doubt it can last 150 (compared to less than 10 hours with older flashlights of a similar form factor and a set of Alkaline D bulbs). . Cells in flashlight battery to a 4-cell type D adapter, this type of flashlight lasts about 10 hours using a high quality 6VDC flashlight battery, not suitable for the Eveready reviewed here). The fact that the Eveready in question uses $4 D-cells instead of a $12 flashlight battery or an expensive flashlight battery-to-D-cell adapter is a good point in this case. At a mid-2018 price point, it's a decent deal, but don't expect the same wide spot of light as older Krypton flashlights.
