I really wanted to have these. Maybe I just got a bad batch as mine arrived damaged. However, I can only view the received ones. Almost a quarter of them arrived with leaks throughout the box. After trying a few (not leaking) I really liked the end of the brush for about a minute. Of the ten thin tips I tried, some didn't work at all, and the rest felt scratchy and uncomfortable. Not sure if they are water based or what they use as they behave a bit like other water based markers I've tried but not completely. First of all they had a slight chemical odor when first opened which quickly dissipated but I've never experienced that with other water based markers I've used. They didn't bleed through or oversaturate the paper like many markers do, unless you keep drawing in the area I liked. However, I've only tried ten of these and the ones I've noticed have started to chip the brush tips, and I'm not too picky about my markers as I own and use most brands and types of markers frequently, including a full range of Copics , Tombows and just about everything in between. So I'm not new to brushes. I also don't expect tombow quality from a $30 pack of markers, but I do expect to like them at least as much as my pencils, which I didn't. In the end, even if they weren't damaged when they arrived, I really don't see the brush tips holding up to multiple paint applications, and the thin tips I didn't like at all and plan to stick with my stabilo and Staedtler for those . They also don't blend well, to blend them you have to walk over the area several times which then causes the paper to peel and bleed a bit, defeating the only thing I liked about them. . Well, aside from all the damage and quality issues, there are a few other things that I generally didn't care about. First, the colors, while it's a good range of colors, one of the things that drew me to this brand over others was the 100 colors, but a lot of those colors were too close in hue for me to even tell if there were they the best. the same color or not, although their hats were completely different shades. Which brings me to my second point: the colors on the caps don't match at all. I know this is often a problem with markers and even crayons, but in this case it's very difficult to map or organize them in any way. Especially since my third point is that they don't wear badges. No names, no numbers, just the words "Double-Tipped Pen" printed on it. You know, I think you thought they were cotton swabs. Each end also has a very thin inscription indicating which end is a fine point and which is a brush. Not even being able to say a bit what color I'm grabbing on the cap of the highlighter, number or whatever would be very helpful though and without it it would just be annoying, even if I liked it it would be a problem for me . in spite of. As mine are damaged I am sending them back but even if they weren't I doubt I would use them much given all the other issues I have with them.
