We have two large strong willed Bloodhound mix breeds, 85 and 95 lbs. We just wanted something that would be a little incentive to listen in the backyard and on the walk, jokingly calling them brains. They have a great vibration feature that is an alternative to the beep before stimulation. Being able to choose a dog was a must for us and this one does the job perfectly. This also allows you to set different stimulation settings for each dog if you have one more willing than the other, as in our case. We used to have a set of tritronics and we really liked them, after 6 years the receiver and a collar began to die. Since we didn't need the same range, this was a great low cost alternative. I didn't test about 100 yards as it wasn't needed now. They survived the rain with no problems. I've been using them 5 times a day for about 10 minutes per walk for the past 3 months, then turning them on and off between walks. Usually one or the other dog will beep or vibrate once a day. Only incriminated them once, and then not because they were dead, just supported them. I would definitely suggest it.
