The Oonies Starter Kit includes Blowers, 30 Oonie Balloons, 6 Oonie Connectors, 18 Oonie Decorations, 6 Display Connectors and 12 Oonie Eyes. Everything you need to make them is in the box. I took this set on vacation and thought the kids could play with it in our hotel room. I was a bit concerned as I forgot the batteries, but to my delight this toy does not require batteries. My 4 year old and almost 7 year old kids really enjoyed making them. My husband loaded balloons into a kid's inflator and then let them inflate. In addition, the children decorate themselves and have a lot of fun decorating their balloons and designing cute animals. The big plus was that it helped keep them busy and calm (I'm sure the people in the hotel room next to us appreciated that too). Another great benefit was the lack of clutter. They do not require any glue or glue as they are slightly tacky and stick together. My kids played with their creations a bit and put them on the dresser when it was time for bed. The next morning two of the three balloons deflated and my kids were disappointed. The third took about 3 days to drain. I'm a bit torn about how much I like her. While my kids loved making them, keeping them a secret, keeping their interest and not making a mess, they were disappointed that the balloons were deflated overnight. I think if you tell your kids it won't take more than a few hours, they know what to expect, then they're okay with that, rather than waking up expecting to play with your creation only to find that it is completely emptied. . We will probably buy a couple of Oonie rods as they have been asking for more. Now they know balloons don't last long and now we're photographing their creations. They expect to lose their breath after a few hours and will be pleasantly surprised if they live longer than a day or so.
