I usually buy reliable cars (Toyota and Subaru) and never need to change parts, but if I ever need a replacement part, I would buy OEM rather than after-sales. Jeep, on the other hand, is made by a company that is known to be at the bottom of the list when it comes to reliability, which is why I'm going without an inferior OEM part that costs me twice as much. This unit was half the price and works great. Time will tell how long it lasts but if I buy this I'll have another $100 left over to fix some other cheap crap that won't work on my Jeep. Don't get me wrong, I love my Jeep, but that doesn't mean I'll spend money on outdated, overpriced OEM parts. Volkswagen installed a computer in a car as early as 1968, Ford installed power windows as early as 1946, and Chrysler was still using vacuum to control things in the cabin as early as 1999. How sad. Sorry for the choice of words. I've been looking for a vacuum leak to no avail and am a bit frustrated.
