Having used different sizes of parrot and glider for ten years I have never had a problem with leaks. I believe this must be user error as some people have stated that the problem is making sure the rubber washer is flat. I use glass because it is homogeneous and easier to disinfect effectively. Glass and plastic head resists soaking in boiling water with sanitizer. The only downside to the design, in my experience, is the flexible metal wire that's supposed to hold the bottle in place. It works for smaller bottles of the same design, but due to the size and weight of the filled bottle, it will tilt to one side when using a cage with more horizontal bars than vertical. This dispenser spout will be usable. small and large birds and of course rodents such as guinea pigs or large rats. The volume is enough to feed a chinchilla or rabbit during the day. If the bottle is leaking, make sure again that the rubber washer is tight and level.
