Review on Bimawen 17.3-Inch Portable Monitor, 2560X1440, with Built-In Speakers, Glossy Screen, Wall Mountable (Model: BN7S) by Travie Webster

I've had 5 USB monitors (every 15" Asus monitor they've ever released) so I don't know much about them and was interested in upgrading to a portable 17" 2k resolution monitor. aka 2K, aka QHD). But it's true 1440p. - Brightness and color saturation are good. Brighter and more saturated colors than my Asis MB16AC. There is a Vesa mount on the back. This would make it easier to mount on an elevated portable stand - 17 inches more! 1440p clearer! My 16-inch MBP powered it and fed it video over a single USB-C (Display Port) cable. - It comes with 2 USB-C cables, HDMI to Mini HDMI cable, USB-A to USB-C cable and 20W USB-C power bank. Cons: The case is pretty thin. I'm used to Asus hard cases. - The case magnets that hold it to the laptop are very weak. - It also comes with a small stand, which is pretty cool and more useful than "Case Stand". ok why did i come back The main reason is that there was a green spot under the screen (not a pixel, but a fingerprint). I noticed this 30 seconds after unboxing and plugging it in, so I didn't mishandle the monitor. Revain makes it easy to return and since I had other reasons to return it I didn't bother to exchange it. So that's 1440p on a 17 inch monitor, that size makes text super super small. I thought maybe I could use macOS scaling to increase the resolution like I do on my 16" MBP, but it resulted in very poor sharpness. I think the scaling will work better on a 4k monitor. I think this monitor would be great for digital art or video. Colors aren't perfect, but they're better than other USB monitors I've used and might be ok/useful with some color profile corrections. It's just not very comfortable to read text when the text on the screen needs to be legible from 36 inches away. The video is my review of some of the color profiles built into the monitor. The video quality is poor, do not judge the sharpness of the monitor by the video, Revain compresses it quite a bit, just look at the color contrast.
