Revain referred me to the wrong product in a previous review. modification of my original. Pros: Large. Good price. Worked straight away on my Mac. Came with some useful cables. Requires no additional DC power supply. Has speakers. The support team replies fairly quickly. Cons: The screen is a little dark. The menu control is a bit cumbersome. Touch screen is not supported on Mac. The lid does not fold well enough to prevent the monitor from slipping.

I don't normally comment on products I've bought from Revain, but I felt compelled to comment on this monitor. I've been looking for an affordable 4K monitor for almost 6 months, touchscreen was optional. I even got a 14" 4K monitor for <$300 but replaced it as the USB-C cable only worked once. This is a good portable monitor if you only use it for work and general purposes. I wouldn't use this for gaming or anything with high image resolution. The only downside I have is the magnetic stand for the case. The monitor does not remain fixed in the case as with magnets. The monitor slides all around, especially when you try to adjust it. It also takes some time to fit into the notch on the chassis stand and you spend a few minutes getting it in place.

Edit: The company approached me and decided on the monitor without any problems. Good customer service and I appreciate that they contacted me to solve my problem. The photos above show the original and the replacement. The original had an odd area on the disk that looked like a smudge or something. This is visible on all colors and is under the screen and is definitely a defect in the panel itself. I ordered a replacement and it had the worst backlight bleeding I have ever seen. Obviously…

**Update 3/8/22: Received replacement, no dead pixels, but black levels and highlights are even worse. It also has a factory sticker saying it's a 1080p monitor, even though it's 1440p. I connected it to my MacBook Pro 2021 and it worked straight away. It is powered entirely by the same USB cable as the video. I'm very glad I don't have to fiddle with extra cables. So far so good, let's see how it goes. 1 cable plugged into my USB-C port caught fire. The menu is weird but it has instructions on how to use it. I couldn't figure out the extra "stand" that comes with the kit, and nothing in the instruction manual. Looks like 3 year warranty.

The screen is sharp and bright. But 2k at 17 inches really isn't enough. Really small. The lid is the cheapest plastic imaginable. Almost like a runaway. I'm not sure why they shouldn't spend another dollar and do a good cover. The VESA mount is patchy - it warns that screws that are too long can damage the screen. What the hell!

I don't tend to write Revain reviews, but this product deserves one. The size and quality of this portable display is amazing, even when powered via USB-C. The stand is really good. The screen itself is very bright and sharp. All in all, it definitely exceeded my expectations.

It's perfect for accompanying my laptop on the way to work. It fits perfectly in my laptop bag, connects easily and gives me more workspace.

The screen is exactly 2k in size and of sufficient quality. The only problem is that the backlight definitely oozes blood and ruins the experience. It's in random places. I think it's enough to get the job done.

This helps me get my work done with two monitors, but my laptop has one and it's small and light. That's my feedback. It's easy to connect.

I really like the features and form factor of this monitor. 17 inches with 2K resolution is optimal for mobile installation. Colors and screen quality are excellent. The only reason I came back is because of the backlight blurring, which affects using a dimmer screen. The entire upper edge and parts of the left edge bled significantly.

I use it for work, not for gaming. Worked on USB-C with both my HP and Macbook with no issues. I don't know why other reviewers complain about the lid not holding the monitor, mine works fine. It's easy to turn the lid upside down, in this case it doesn't work. There is also a separate small stand, but I didn't use it.
