If you use it for your RV or cabin use this is a good pump and you won't have any problems with it. However, we use it constantly throughout the year and it only lasts about a year. or two. There really aren't many other options, so we always just buy a new one and use the old one as spares. The problem is that the pump diaphragms or pressure switches constantly fail. This is reinforced by well water, which is usually full of minerals. We use the entire house filter before it gets to the pump and it's still not enough to solve the problem, it has to be put through the softener, which in itself is a lot of hassle. I'm not saying it's bad. Pump, that's decent, 3 stars. You definitely need to run this through a pressure tank because if it's only run for a short time (like just rinsing a cup) the carbon brushes can wear out very quickly. Initially we used a Shurflo battery tank with it. However, it holds about half a liter of water and we got tired of hearing the pump running all the time because it's so noisy. You can use a pressure tank from any major hardware store and pressurize it. It works very well and you don't have to hear the pump running all the time.
