Great pump! on Power Water Pumps

I use this for a self contained home. I have a solar panel, inverter, batteries so the pump can run on AC power. I also have a 12v DC pump that will work with it. They're about the same physical size close by, but this pump is noticeably better, builds pressure faster and really pumps water. I got this specifically for laundry as the DC pump was draining the batteries even when I was running the alternator for the washing machine. Now I can start the generator, start washing and the new pump…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great for water butt systems

I bought this pump so I didn't have to build a platform to lift my water butt assembly off the ground and build pressure. The on-demand feature works great and means we can use the spray/squeegee anywhere in the garden that the hose will reach. Without the pump, there wasn't enough pressure to use the sprayer. As for the 1/2" male thread - after reading product reviews and datasheets, I was concerned that parallel threads would be a problem (i.e. there weren't many suitable customization…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great pump but crappy connections

I bought this pump to replace another pump I bought from Revain that failed within a month. I liked this one because it's a diaphragm, not impellers. Appears to be well built. Surprisingly, this pump is much quieter than the previous one. Fills itself and moves liquid quickly. As many people have pointed out, threaded connections are technically 1/2" male NPT threads. However, Shurflo forms them in such a way that they want to sell you their connectors. became harsh as if the threads were…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Useless features

Suitable for occasional use in the garden or country house

Many reviews mention the use of this type of pump for small households so based on the good reviews and these comments I ordered this particular pump and recommended strainer and a storage tank for the water supply of our small house from a rainwater collection system. It worked great for low-power applications that ran every few seconds, but it was ok. I recently tried filling a bucket from the kitchen faucet and at a steady flow the pump was acting strange, changing pump speed and not turning

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • There are nuances

Suitable for recreational use

If you use it for your RV or cabin use this is a good pump and you won't have any problems with it. However, we use it constantly throughout the year and it only lasts about a year. or two. There really aren't many other options, so we always just buy a new one and use the old one as spares. The problem is that the pump diaphragms or pressure switches constantly fail. This is reinforced by well water, which is usually full of minerals. We use the entire house filter before it gets to the pump…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No power

upset. Best in Power Water Pumps

I ordered this SHURflo industrial pump (Model # 2088-594-154) on August 23, 2018 and it has been working non-stop for a week ago. 03/28/19 SEVEN MONTHS. The pump started to run FULL for about 10 minutes before seizing and eventually reaching the pressure setting and shutting down. After a few days it got worse until it just FULLY worked and never shut down. When he REALLY pumped, it was just a puff of water with a few puffs of air. I notice a small leak between the halves of the pump housing…

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • There are Cons

Had high hopes for this pump based on the positive reviews and the fact that I am disabled and have nowhere to drive. But I got mine and it only took a day or two at most. I got mine on July 11th, today is July 18th and she spits and spits. Unfortunately I don't have a way to print a paper shipping label as I don't have a printer. just my phone I have the original packaging to return it but that's about it. Please replace it and send me a return label to my mailbox. I will send it back as soon…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Works great/seems solid

I have an artesian well on property that puts out about 7 gpm but only about 4 to 6 psi. 4-6 psi is enough to flush toilets and wash hands with unfiltered water, but not enough to run a shower or pump any real volume of water through a 4-stage filtration system (my filtration system consists of 4 separate 200- micron blocks -> 50 µm -> 30 µm -> 5 µm filter). A traditional fountain pump costs about $6,000 to install and I will lose the ability to use the fountain without a pump. So I…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings it's just great
