Review on 🔧 SHURflo Industrial Pump 2088-594-154 - 198 GPH, 115V, 1/2in - High-performance Pump for Industrial Applications by Mark Meyer

I ordered this SHURflo industrial pump (Model # 2088-594-154) on August 23, 2018 and it has been working non-stop for a week ago. 03/28/19 SEVEN MONTHS. The pump started to run FULL for about 10 minutes before seizing and eventually reaching the pressure setting and shutting down. After a few days it got worse until it just FULLY worked and never shut down. When he REALLY pumped, it was just a puff of water with a few puffs of air. I notice a small leak between the halves of the pump housing. So I tightened the screws (many Revain reviewers for this product said to do the same). Worked one day, then the same. Since air was mixed with some of the water that WAS in the faucet, I replaced the teflon tape on all the inlet (suction) fittings. Worked half a day. After all, he just worked and worked without pumping water. Discouraged (and really needing running water ASAP) I started looking at repair kit options. No matter where I bought it, parts and shipping cost me half the cost of a brand new pump. Adding to my time, work and the possibility that parts will not solve my problem, I have just ordered a completely different pump. Once I've removed the faulty pump I will either check to see if there is any warranty claim or further investigate, repair and use as a fallback if this new "spare pump" is always out of service. :(
