Review on 🔧 SHURflo Industrial Pump 2088-594-154 - 198 GPH, 115V, 1/2in - High-performance Pump for Industrial Applications by Jyothish Pillai

I bought this pump so I didn't have to build a platform to lift my water butt assembly off the ground and build pressure. The on-demand feature works great and means we can use the spray/squeegee anywhere in the garden that the hose will reach. Without the pump, there wasn't enough pressure to use the sprayer. As for the 1/2" male thread - after reading product reviews and datasheets, I was concerned that parallel threads would be a problem (i.e. there weren't many suitable customization options). Investigations while the pump was shipping showed that matching parallel threads were only available in metal hydraulic hose fittings (the pump manufacturer recommends not using metal fittings) or Shurflo's own made fittings (which looked cheap). However, I have used 1/2" NPT barbed fittings on PEX from a large store with no problems. There are no leaks and the PEX provides a non-rigid connection as the pump vibrates during operation.
