I received the HANMATEK digital display soldering station just last night and wanted to test it this morning before I pack it up again and give it to my wife under the to pack the Christmas tree. Please note that I purchased the SD-2 model with a digital display. these reviews because I have seen reviews from Revain that refer to the wrong product. It was packaged very well and not a single piece was torn or broken. The parts are mostly metal and changing tips is very easy. It also holds perfectly in the built-in mount, eliminating the need for a soldering iron mount. Plug the iron into the station before turning the power on as the metal pins carry high voltage. I've never had a multi-temperature station. So I didn't know what to expect and the instruction manual (6 pages) is a bit misleading. It says to tin the iron at 200-260℉, but the iron starts at 392℉ and goes up to 896℉. I thought it might be faulty so I checked the Revain and it's fine so don't fall into the same manual trap I did. Station temperature is OK. I lit it and it got hot very quickly. Faster than my old Direct Connect Radio Shack iron. I tried setting it to 600℉ and within 5 seconds it reached the temperature. By the way, when the temperature is reached, nothing beeps or flashes, as the instructions say. You'll have to change the manual to reflect what's really going on. That's all I get to do before Christmas. I'll update this review when I can use it, but for now I wanted to give it a good review for working as advertised and mention the user manual.
