I have been very pleased with my Express water filter system, it has almost paid for itself. He's still happy, of course, but it's time to finally change the filters. I figured it would be pretty easy since the filter system was originally set up, and other than the lack of a properly shaped brush to easily clean the RO membrane housing, it was incredibly easy. I would recommend loosening/removing the pre-stage filters over a long flat plastic container (like those little long rubber/sterile tanks under the bed) or in a bathtub to catch any water left in the housing as there is still water in there . There was very little left after I drained the system a day or two earlier. The attached picture shows a 6 month old 1st stage filter next to new, the rest was relatively clean except for residue of charcoal dust/charcoal stage left in the housing for these filters.
