I bought these specialty scissors for shredding confidential information with an adhesive backing: address labels, mailing labels, packing slips, etc. I learned the hard way that you don't want to put these items in Your paper shredder unless you want to mess up the work. This tool does an excellent job of manually shredding this personal data. You can cut once or even twice (cross cut) for extra security. My only caveat is that the scissors could be stronger. You have to use a lot of force to go through slightly thicker paper, especially at the tips of the scissor blades. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
