Conditioner and nail polish lovers will tell you (and have told you in other reviews) that this is not a "real" conditioner or nail polish. Maybe they are right; I don't know enough about skin or skin care to make an authoritative comment. Here's what I know: if your shoes are looking a little shabby and you're in a hurry, a little of this lube (or whatever) will have them looking brand new in under a minute, no shorts. as far as I can tell, long-term or long-term harmful effects on the skin. That's good enough for me, and if you're not a shoeshine fan, it's probably good enough for you too.
