Review on LG BPM34 Blu-Ray Player: Seamlessly Stream with Built-In Wi-Fi by Phil Kowal

The remote on this is MISSING so bad it's unusable

I bought at Walmart. The remote control was unusable, so I exchanged it for another one. Same problem. It offers Wi-Fi connectivity for NETFLIX. Connecting to their ministry was easy. I have to press the buttons multiple times and they are intermittent. This and the infrared sensitivity are bad, you have to point the remote directly at the DVD player. The remote control is so annoying that I would like to return it before the 30 day return period is over. If this is the quality that LG develops, this is the only product I have ever bought from them. If anyone knows of a universal remote control that solves this problem, I'd love to hear about it. UPDATE 2/15/2016: I found an RCA brand RCR314WR universal remote for $8. It is designed to control 3 devices. You still have to point it at the DVD player, but it works five times better than the LG controller that came with the player. It also works much better than the HiSense TV remote control.
