Purchased in April 2013. At the time my computer (still new at the time) was running Windows 8. It was plug and play. Never had any issues and it complimented my ASUS ET2701 computer. I continued using the drive via a Windows 8.1 update and now the same PC has been updated to Windows 10. (Actually I double boot with Windows 8.1 and 10) no problems so far and it has NEVER burned the coaster. I lost the original dual USB cable but never had a problem with the decent cable I have. I'm upgrading my computer and since my ASUS only has a BD-ROM/DVD burner, I wanted to install this disc instead of the one that came with my PC. So I carefully opened it up to see what drive I had. The device I have has a PANASONIC UJ260 drive. I'm considering the second one (hack my old one and install it on a PC) and keep the new one for mobile use. I'm also considering buying a Panasonic UJ260 drive. In the last two years, the performance of optical drives has not improved much, so this drive is still relevant. Highly recommended, but note that your mileage may vary. I believe this has more to do with software and PC configuration than anything else. This device is durable.
