Triad C218 Universal Ballast Review. I have replaced several old ballasts with Triad over the years and have had no problems with installation or operation. When I needed a ballast for an 18W 2G11 lamp I turned to Triad to do it. This fixture works with one or two 18w compact fluorescent lamps making it the perfect choice. Received device before the expected arrival date in a plain postal envelope in the original packaging. Triad feeds the ballast with black, white, and green AC power cords about 6 inches long and pairs of red, yellow, and blue lamp cords of equal length. correct wire in correct position, fixing screw and base with two studs for fixing (but no nuts). Complete the kit as you wish. I installed it, connected the cables and turned it on in less than 3 minutes. I remember this being sold as a quick start version, but I noticed that there was a small pause after the switch was flipped before the bulb reached full power. Everything else worked as expected.
