Review on 🔌 Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Subaru Ascent, Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, XV – CURT 56040, Black by Rick Vidaurri

2011 Subaru Forester bought new and installed after some time this part (Kurt 56040), I don't remember exactly. In 2016 he worked, did not drag for some time, and in 2018 he stopped working. So apparently it's not a "forever" thing. The place you plug it in is under the boot floor, on the driver's side, under the foam to the left of the spare tire, then there's a hole in the foam where you put the connector so you can have the black box underneath the foam and out of the way. I ordered a replacement for my old one from Revain but the one I received was a fake in Curt packaging! Make sure you order "new" from Revain as a seller too! Revane was very nice and helpful in this matter. Unfortunately I needed to be towed ASAP and couldn't wait for a replacement so we had to fit a fake in for now which meant a lot of splicing and tedious hassle. The actual curt does not need to be spliced, it simply plugs in. Apologies to third parties selling legitimate items!
