I really love this dress ! I am 5ft 3 and weight about 200lbs and I originally purchased a medium based on the reviews and while I could get the dress on it was very tight in the breast area so I brought a large and that fit a lot better but I wish I would have tried an XL only because the hardest part about getting the dressed on is that the line that separates the breast from everything else doesn’t stretch like the rest of the material. In speaking about the material my biggest concern was that it could possibly be cheap to the feel but I did not experience that at all. The dress has a nice heavy sweater material feel and doesn’t feel cheap at all. The white isn’t completely white. It’s more like an ivory. I stood next to others who had on pure white and you could definitely tell the difference. Also if you like to wear shapewear/girdles like myself I found that the brief girdles ( the kind shaped exactly like underwear) worked best in the dress. I tried doing the kind that look like capris and shorts and it came down too far so you could see them in the splits on the sides of the dress. I also tried and old time slip and you could see the imprint of that as well. It was very hard to decide between black and nude girdle so choose which ever color works best for you. With either color I felt like it was slightly noticeable but the black to me was just less noticeable. Also I had on a nude colored bra but the top portion of the dress seems less see through. I just think wearing white is a difficult to manage in general so don’t let your undergarments discourage you. I definitely plan on purchasing more colors! And one more thing to add…. because the arms are are balloon like the larger sizes will give you more room in the arms so that can be a downside if you can fit a medium but looking for a more loose fit in other areas like myself but as mentioned I think the large was a good fit overall.
