This liter box is great. It's big, but it fits well in the cage. The bunny uses it for urinating and pooping, although the bunny in the room hopes he only poops and pees in this tray. What you need to do to avoid the mess is place a puppy pee pad on the bottom of the tray. Feces fall out of the litter box onto the cushion, and the liner in the bowl below catches the feces and absorbs the urine. The box comes with plastic sheets but they do not absorb urine in any way. I recommend this tray
