Review on Audiotek Under Seat Active Power Subwoofer by Jim Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price with good sound

First, it didn't fit under the seat of my 05 Outback. And it comes with bass console and hi-lo input, no other wiring. The construction makes a very solid impression. Being a 10" with so much power it definitely adds some punchy bass. Any standard setup in an old car will sound better out of the box. It definitely doesn't have as much "big" response as I'm due of the flat case/amp. You definitely start to lose response around 60Hz and below. It just doesn't move that much air. Also, very poor quality wire set screws, aluminum philips. They're too easy to strip. I added Add M6 bolts and nuts with rubber caps. Setup can also be tricky due to the always-on low-pass filter. Therefore, if your set has a digital crossover, you may experience some issues. I think it's fair for the price. Personally, I bought it because I wanted to have a subwoofer under the seat. I ended up installing it on the back of the back seat. Of course, the best way is to use it as it is designed is. I would probably buy something else if I knew it wouldn't fit. Overall I would give it a 6/10. That's fair and you get what you pay for.
