I haven't used it on a tablet but it works great!
I have a Lowrance fish finder with an unusual screen size, 3.5" x 3.5". I couldn't find a screen protector this size, so I knew I had to try a glass-free screen protector like this one. I cut the protector Mr. Shield to desired size with a razor. Cutting was very easy. I had to move the adhesive tabs to remove the two protective covers used during installation, but that was easy too. Then I attached the protective film according to the online instructions. Bonus! The sonar screen had scratches from previous use that could not be removed. Protective Film Shield makes the screen look brand new now! Needless to say I am very satisfied with this product.
