Review on πŸ”Š Mediabridge 14AWG 2-Conductor Speaker Wire (100 Feet, Black/Red) - High-Quality 14AWG Wire for In-Home or Car Stereo - Low-Loss Copper Clad Aluminum (Part# SW-14X2-100-BR) by Gerald Reeves

Good and strong cable

Used for my audio system with 5.1 surround sound (actually 7.2 but I'm missing a subwoofer and two satellites). As I currently don't use proper format speakers as I live with others and they're only limited to my bedroom table the sensor is probably higher than I need but I've figured it out just in case and if/when I will be adding rear speakers , I would have a spare cable of good thickness so that there is no loss. I also wanted everything to look consistent. The wires are stripped, separated and connect very well to the terminals. The quality of the metal really shows when you first strip the wires. In my current configuration my speakers have never sounded better and I am very happy with my purchase. If I need more speaker wire I will definitely use Mediabridge again! On the other hand, this material is durable! My strippers aren't as good as they could be and I ended up removing a small patch of skin on the side of my index finger where I attached the wire. Please note that your results may not match the differences experienced when replacing my previous tangled cable with this higher quality cable. Before you buy a bundle of audio cables, study the length of cable you need for each speaker and how many ohms of resistance the head unit puts out a device to determine the appropriate caliber. You should choose a transducer that can transmit sound over that distance with ideally <1-5% loss. Graphics are available through Crutchfield Audio and I believe Mediabridge have them on their website too!

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
