Works great with PowerPoint, Adobe Bridge presentation mode and will also work with PDF files IF they are consolidated into one complete file. It will not advance slides when bringing photos up in Explorer. You need a 'presentation program.' There may be other programs that it will work with but officially it is for PowerPoint. The only negative for me is that the laser pointer is very close to the slide advance button. Since it is so small I tend to push the laser by mistake a lot. But I am getting the feel of it, finally. It has a finger ring which I put on my index finger, turned to the side. That makes it stationary to press with my thumb. (And not drop it.) The only other thing I wish the did was mention in the instruction (which need improvement) that the antenna is incorporated into the little unit, held in by a magnet. I could not see it or find it for a while and was ready to return it---but it was there/ My bad.
