I have a heavy hoist that runs dry about 3500# and we load it with a lot of gear. I really wanted to pull it as straight as possible, and I got an exact 8 inch drop. Then we loaded the truck. I didn't account for the 2" drop when the truck was fully loaded with gear and people, and I would have been too low had I had an 8" non-adjustable hitch like I thought. It was a 2 minute switch to the 6.5 inch drop setting and it was almost perfect. I have one of those bolt-on clutch stabilizers and it doesn't work with this clutch (the gussets are too deep) but I didn't hear it wiggle at all despite all the pins involved.
