Summer driving in Texas means you have to drive at night or very early in the morning to get done before temperatures hit the mid 90's. That's why I'm always on the lookout for remedies that help with the heat. I tried this base coat because of the good reviews from Revain. Well, since it's half the price of other well-known brands, if it doesn't work, don't worry. Yesterday I wore it under a black t-shirt for the first time. I feel cooler when driving or staying where there is a light breeze. It was indeed hotter when there was no wind; with all these tiny air pockets trapping heat between the shirt and my body. But when there is a light breeze, say 3-5 m/s, it works great! I finished the trip when the temperature was 34 degrees and I didn't feel as hot as the previous trip with just a tank top. So I'm not entirely sure about consistent cooling, but it will definitely keep me from overheating. I also bought one from Craft, this stuff seems softer but I think it works the same. Again, this costs half or less of bike brands, but is just as effective.
